By the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania that justice in the Republic of Lithuania is only carried out by courts. Courts of the Republic of Lithuania include the Lithuanian Supreme Court, Lithuanian Appeal Court, regional and district courts. Since 1999, specialized administrative courts have been operating in Lithuania. Composition and competence of courts is established by the court law of the Republic of Lithuania.
